缺口型及接口型波簧 Type & Overlap Type
传统缺口型与接口型的波形弹簧因小变形量和中低力值的特性，使其具有精密可靠的功能而被广泛地应用在各种领域。
缺口型（Gap Type）是弹簧两端之间保留了一个缺口；接口型（Overlap Type）是末端有些微地重叠搭接。缺口及接口的特殊设计使弹簧在受压缩而产生外径扩张时，两端可以沿着圆周自由移动。因此，这两种类型的波形弹簧在安装的空间内可以容许径向扩张（radial expansion），而不会发生传统冲压垫圈的束缚与断裂等状况。
例如，将一个缺口型波簧放入每边有0.5mm间隙的孔内，而内径与轴之间每边有0.25mm的距离。当波簧受到压缩时，其外径和内径均会扩张，直到外径接触到孔壁为止。 在持续受力变形下，波簧缺口的两端会移动而互相靠近。接口型波簧也是以类似的循环作动方式进行的。
